San Marcos

San Marcos is Italian for St. Mark and St. Mark's Square is a major destination in Venice. The church itself is beautiful.

During the day the square is filled with pigeons. They also have people there to sell food to feed the pigeons. Amy pointed that the moment someone starts to hand money to the food vendor the pigeons swarms him/her in anticipation of the food. An American couple did that. I snapped lots of photos. For being such a good sport in having pigeons swarm him, I offered to email him the photos, but he turned me down.
