The Munich Zoo

The Munich Tierpark opened in the 1920s and was credited with being one of the first zoos in the world to have animals segregated by continent. It was a little bit eerie walking the pathways and wondering if Nazi leaders, including Hitler, had walked the same paths 65 years ago admiring the animals. The photo of the lone wolf is my favorite. The rest are largely typical zoo pictures. Click on the arrows at either end of the thumbnail photos to move along the slideshow and click on a thumbnail to enlarge it. I was snapping photos of the animals when I saw this wolf magnificently sunning him/herself. I tried to quickly to put my telephoto extension on my camera, but needless to say seconds before I was ready to take pictures this wolf moved into the shade. So I spent about 20 minutes following this wolf around waiting for another shot. A group of boys came by and one barked like a dog to get the wolf's attention, allowing me to snap this photo.
